Location

Poststrasse 38 , Vals, Switzerland

By car

If you come from the north, cross the border at Kempten / Lindau in southern Germany. There you drive on the A14 towards Bregenz / Lustenau in Austria, where you leave the motorway at Mäder to continue on the A13 on the other side of the Rhine in Switzerland towards Chur / Sagans. Pass Chur. At the Reichenau junction, leave the motorway in the direction of Ilanz. In the village of Ilanz, turn left, cross the railway line and drive towards Vals. Continue on this road for 20 km to the end of the valley. When you arrive in Vals, past the spring water factory Valserwasser and the Thermenhotel, you can park your car on one of the two reserved parking spaces across from Schnider B&B and Café.The slightly higher shed is the entrance to the house.
You can also take the A3, if you come via Basel & Zurich, in the direction of Chur. From Chur you follow the route mentioned above.

In Switzerland winter tires are compulsory in snow. We recommend carrying suitable snow chains.

Warning: There are many deer on the street at night and early in the morning, especially in winter.
Do NOT try to reach the stable in winter without all-wheel drive and winter tires, instead park in the two parking spaces of Villa Vals down at the Poststrasse.
Make sure you have enough antifreeze with you. The temperature can drop to -30 ° C at night in clear weather.
